Built-In Camera Scanning
Use the device's built-in camera to scan tickets quickly, including flashlight support for dark environments.
Our built-in camera scanner is specifically built for Box Office speed, with flashlight support so you can scan even when in dark conditions.
Using the Camera Scanner
Simply click on the purple Scan tab in order to start using the devices scanner. Once you click Start Scanning, the scanner will continue to open again after scanning tickets unless you manually close it, increasing the speed of your employees.
Click on the keyboard icon next to Start Scanning to manually type in an order or ticket shortcode if you're having trouble.
In the top of the scan pop-up, you can also click the icon to open their order in Order Lookup to perform additional actions like unscanning, refunds, and more.
If you're scanning tickets using an iPad Box Office setup with Square Stand, you'll have to enable the front camera since the Square Stand blocks the rear camera. Alternatively, we recommend using a Zebra Scanner with the Square Stand.
Scanning tickets from Order lookup
If you're having trouble scanning a QR code or a customer can't find their order, click on the Orders tab to search for them by shortcode, name, email, or phone number.
Once you pull up their order, you can click it to scan their tickets from inside the app.
You can also unscan tickets from the Order lookup screen in case you made a mistake or are offering someone another entry!
Viewing scan history
Click on the Scan tab (and close the scanner if it opens) to view the Scan History for your device. Clicking on an entry will re-open that guests order without having to scan it again.
